Tinicum was a minority investor in Capital Assurance Holdings, the holding company that acquired Standard Life Insurance Company of Indiana (“SLIC”), a stock life insurance company based in Carmel, Indiana. The company sold fixed-annuity products through independent agents. SLIC consented to an Order of Rehabilitation with the Indiana Department of Insurance in December 2008.
