Tinicum purchased shares of NYSE-listed Cordant Technologies Inc. during February and March of 2000. Cordant was composed of three businesses: Howmet International, a manufacturer of precision investment cast parts for aerospace and industrial gas turbine markets; Huck Fasteners, a manufacturer of fastening systems for aerospace and industrial markets; and Thiokol Propulsion, a manufacturer of solid rocket motors for aerospace, defense and commercial applications. In May 2000, Alcoa Inc. completed a tender offer for Cordant.
