Liberman Broadcasting is the largest privately held, minority-owned Spanish-language broadcaster in the United States. In March 2007, Tinicum joined with certain funds managed by Oaktree Capital Management, L.P. to make a minority investment in the company, which is controlled by the founding family. In 2009, Liberman launched estrellaTV, which is currently the third-highest-rated Spanish-language television network. Liberman seeks to acquire or affiliate with radio and television stations in markets with substantial Hispanic populations to build market-leading Hispanic radio and television clusters.
