Western Pneumatic is a leading manufacturer of large-diameter, light-wall custom-formed and welded tubing for the commercial aircraft market. Typical applications include deicing systems and other engine bleed-air applications, wastewater systems and cabin oxygen systems. Tinicum acquired Western Pneumatic in March 2007. In 2008, the Company executed the add-on acquisition of Valley Metals, a manufacturer of specialty tubing products based in Poway, California. In January 2012, Tinicum sold Western Pneumatic to publicly-traded Leggett & Platt (NYSE: LEG).
